You may notice a slight blue and white theme running through these pictures - this was in honour of the AFL (Aussie Rules) Grand Final which Geelong won last year, and were in again this year. Having lost only one game in the whole season, and not having lost at all to Hawthorn (their Grand Final opponents) Geelong were hot favourites to take the title again. That is, of course, until we got involved....
I made cakes for Graham and Leanne (BIG Cats fans), dressed us all appropriately, soaked up the carnival atmosphere in town... then vowed never to mention it again when Geelong were soundly gubbed by Hawthorn. Defeat from the jaws of victory, anyone? Ahh, feels like home...
