That'll be the rain on...

Well, the countdown is on.... less than two weeks till we leave, and so not ready yet!! Still recovering from the Farewell Party last weekend, which went brilliantly well and we'd like to thank everyone who came along. The rain in the morning was literally torrential - bouncing off the driveway and puddling on the grass... and we were laughing hysterically out the window. But this is Scotland, and we take nothing for granted - hence the gazebos had been up since the night before, the space heaters were in place and the bouncy castle came with a rain cover !! A lot of praying by devout atheists later, and the rain stopped, the sun came out and much food and drink was consumed by all.

Gran Anne won the 'Find a partygoer who...' quiz, and we discovered that two unrelated people believe they have been involved in burning down a pub, three separate partygoers were expelled from school and no-one was Polish. The sumo suits proved as much of a hit with the adults as with the children and there were plenty parent/child bouts where the grown ups were taking it way too seriously.

So now we are still waiting for visas, our stress levels are rising as fast as our bank accounts are shrinking.... and it doesn't matter as two weeks from now we'll be in Maine!
